Damp and Water Proofing Services

Waterproofing is essential to protect your structure from moisture damage and to ensure its longevity.

  1. Plaster Removal

With rising damp, the plaster is chopped off the wall, to a height of one metre to expose the bare brick underneath.

  2. Chemical Injection

A damp proof chemical is injected at the damp proof course level to saturate bricks under pressure to create a new D.P.C (Damp proof course).

  3. Slurry and Replastering

The bare bricks will then be coated with a tanking slurry to avoid future lateral damp. The area will then be replastered with 42.5 surebuild cement, matching the existing plaster.

Your questions answered

What does your rising damp treatment involve?

The existing service includes removing affected plaster, chemical injection at the damp proof course, tanking slurry and replastering. The work required depends on the property assessment.

When can the wall be decorated again?

Drying time depends on the wall and conditions. Ask for a project-specific drying and decorating schedule when the damp is assessed.
